Fucoidan largely contains fucopyranoside and natural sulphate. Fucoidan is a complex polysaccaride. Fucoidan also has xylose, glucuronic acid, trace elements of galactose and three different kinds of sugar molecules. All these means simply is that fucoidan is a member of the carbohydrate family. As I mention fucoidan is polysaccaride-meaning it consist of many different polymers that can be broken down by hydrolysis. The molecules of fucoidan has the tendency to bond with sulphate groups. As its indicated by research-the higher the sulphate group-count in a plant, the higher its therapeutic potential. Just take a look for yourself check fucoidan out in the US National Library of Medicine pubmed.gov
Get more educated on it- get the booklet titled "Limu Moui Prize Sea Plant of the South Pacific" CLICK HERE TO GET THE BOOKLET This booklet is much more easier and more understandable to read than information in the US National Library of Medicine. It not only explains the main ingredient "fucoidan" but also goes into what it is in Limu Moui and all the other 70 plus more nutrients it also has. I highly recommend it. Its much more detailed and easy read. "Limu Moui" is the sea plant were "fucoidan" resides in.
